Projecting Opportunity
The Cardiff Film Festival has announced a number of high profile corporate sponsorship opportunities in support of the 11-day event which runs in the Welsh Capital from 8-18 November 2006.
The sponsorship drive, spearheaded by independent sponsorship consultant Simon Farley, is offering a number of sponsorship packages including full title rights for the festival itself as well as close association with the themed strands of the festival, including the opening night charity gala, new welsh cinema, previews of new releases, industry and educational events.
Simon is a highly experienced consultant having been responsible for raising sponsorship for a variety of high profile film projects over the last twelve years, including five London Film Festivals and for the past three years, all national BAFTA Award ceremonies, including the Orange British Academy Film Awards and the British Academy Television Awards sponsored by Pioneer.
Simon Farley, said, “The Cardiff Film Festival represents a significant new sponsorship opportunity as this is the first time commercial sponsors have been actively sought. This is therefore a unique opportunity for companies to create a high profile association with a major new cultural festival for Cardiff and to work in partnership with the new festival team to realise the ambitious development plans for the event in 2006 and beyond. The Festival offers sponsors a great opportunity to be associated with a strong brand and a potential world-wide audience.”
Cardiff Film Festival Director, Sarah Howells, added, “We are excited to have Simon’s expertise on board and we are looking forward as a festival to form sustainable long-term relationships with a number of companies and organisations who appreciate the benefits being associated with one of the UK’s fastest growing film festival can bring.”
