Elysian Films – SKIN

Director Anthony Fabian (Elysian Films) and producer Margaret Matheson (Bard Entertainments)  are currently developing a major new feature film, SKIN, based on the life of Sandra Laing - one of the most fascinating and emotive true stories ever to emerge from apartheid South Africa - demonstrating the insanity and arbitrary cruelty of a society divided along racial lines. It is also a story of family, forgiveness and the triumph of the human spirit.

With substantial investment for the production of SKIN already in place following script workshops and a eight minute pilot filmed in South Africa - supported by the UK Film Council - and with leading cast members including Sophie Okonedo and Alice Krige confirmed, a further investment opportunity in the form of sponsorship has been identified. Sponsorship by Design has been appointed to match an appropriate corporate sponsor with the project to complete the funding of this hugely impactful film and to be particularly associated with the educational opportunities associated with the film's message of tolerance and hope, which has the power to touch people and change lives throughout the world.

Miramax Books is to publish Sandra Laing's biography in 2007 to tie-in with the film, and a marketing strategy involving print, TV and radio editorial and advertising will be devised by the international sales agent for the film, to give maximum exposure worldwide. A sponsorship showreel and proposal are available, outlining this unique opportunity for corporate involvement with this major new film, with huge potential global impact.
